Neil was outta sight. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him wearing a white shirt. What a mind screw! Hip hip, huzzah.
I’m straight as straight can be but I think if I meet Neil I would have to kiss him square on the lips and tell him, ‘you are a lovely human being,’ before security took me out back. My favourite short story writer bar none, Borges, Carver, O. Henry, all good, but not one of them is half as entertaining as he is when telling a story.
