Small group workshops and 1-2-1 editorial coaching

Within each of us is an ocean of story.

It is the source of every tale, fable, myth and story ever told. The waters of the ocean are inexhaustible. The more you draw from them, the stronger they become.

I work 1-2-1 and in small groups with writers who have a story to tell. Small group workshops guide writers through an 8 to 12 week course. 1-2-1 editorial coaching is tailored to each writer.

Sailing the Ocean of Story – ALL LEVELS

8 weeks, Oct-Nov 2023

As a group we will explore the stories you are telling and introduce essential skills of visualisation + narrative structure. You will have the opportunity to read and feedback on work in progress by group members, and to gain feedback on your work.

Damien Walter (BA MA PGcert HEA) began leading workshops for writers as a community worker in Leicester, UK. He completed BA and Masters level degrees and is a graduate of the Clarion writer’s workshop. He was the director of creative writing certificate level at University of Leicester, and guest lecturer at University of Nottingham. His online courses The Rhetoric of Story and Writing the 21st Century myth have over 50,000 students worldwide. He hosts the Science Fiction podcast and community.
