It’s symbolically appropriate that Fake Tolkien returns in 3 days with its lead actor stuffed into a fake hairpiece.
It’s difficult to have a discussion about the moral travesty of Fake Tolkien because we live in a time and place where the crime has been normalised.
Imagine pointing out a theft in a society where theft is not just legal, but a profitable corporate enterprise.
“Who cares if they robbed that dude, dudes get robbed every day!”
So get ready for 8 weeks of the public violation of the creative spirit of JRR Tolkien, as the great myth maker of the modern era is exploited and degraded, and his great myth for the modern world is used as a brand for a generic trash fantasy tv show.
While an audience of people conditioned to understand art as nothing more than a consumer product watch and cheer.
Think of Aslan being shorn as the people hoot and jeer and you have some idea what awaits the memory of Tolkien.
How did we get here? How did our culture fall so low?
