This is the first time I’ve scripted a video essay for the Science Fiction channel that I am almost certain not to make as a video
The practical reason – you folks will get this video essay, but when the algo boosts it out to Trekkies they absolutely will not get it, and that will kill it dead.
The creative reason – to really ground the argument means including history of British / American colonialism, the evolution of “liberalism”, and the operation of propaganda in a democracy. It’s too much abstraction for a video essay I think.
Anyway. Here is the 2nd draft for SF members. It needs at least another full draft, so comments are welcome on the Google Doc. Links to member platforms are in the comments.
