Upton Sinclair is liberal. Small-L. Concerned with unfair hierarchies. Interested in fixing them. Liberalism is good and necessary (as is it’s counterpart small-c conservatism… but I’ll get to that in a second.) WOKE is a steaming turd on the face of humanity… but I’ll get to that in a second.
Star Wars is liberal. Star Trek is liberal. Dune is liberal. Frankenstein is liberal. Not a one is the least bit “woke.” At least till y’all cultists bought the “IPs” and shat woke all over ’em.
“Woke:”
dogmatically concerned with an interlocking matrix of oppression constructed from hierarchies of race, sex, gender, weight, looks, sexual preference, and whatever else is fashionable in the halls of academic circle-jerkery current year. All differences in social & economic outcomes are a result of this matrix, thus any measure necessary to bring about “Equity” (equality of outcome) is warranted. Any eggs broken in pursuit of the equity omelet probably deserved it anyway. Make that “definitely deserved it.”

Woke is a cult. A new religion. A sick and twisted new religion with no god & no path to redemption, but a religion nonetheless. It’s only “liberal” in a funhouse mirror.

I could go on about how Wokeness ruins everything it touches,++ how it rots the world with necromantic racism & garbage-stink “Utopias.” How it’s wasted the time of so many people so much smarter than the mediocrities looking for “equity” like the pigs in Animal Farm look for “equality..” How it’s mostly become a sinecure farm for midwits, sadistic crybullies, mediocre authors, victimhood farmers, and Karens of cosmic scope.
Then I realized you won’t publish this anyway. You’ll resolve your guilt & cognitive dissonance by dust-binning this response. After all, truth means nothing and POWER is all. Even if you have to make epically dishonest YouTube videos to get it.
