Nope. This video essay will entirely fulfill that visual promise. It is not clickbait.
But it is Trojan Horsing.

But like most of my essays it does lure you in with a popular mass media franchise – Skibidi Toilet is THE most watched scifi narrative BY FAR of the 21st century
And then hits you with a Big Idea
ACCELERATIONISM
Which is currently causing me a headache.
Accelerationism has been widely misunderstood on the online left as a “prescriptive” idea. That we should accelerate capitalism to cause its crash. This is basically the internet meme version of Acc.
Accelerationism is a DESCRIPTIVE idea. And it is the description of capitalism given by every theorist from Adam Smith and Karl Marx onwards.
Capitalism IS an accelerating process. A cybernetic positive feedback loop. You don’t need to accelerate it, it’s accelerating all on its own.
Towards…what? Many accelerationists believe it’s towards superintelligence. “Capitalism is AI”.
But I think that’s optimistic. It’s accelerating towards a head in a toilet and a MIDI remix of Timbalake.
Because Skibidi Toilet is the future Capitalism wants.
